The banishment of natural occurring fats, oils, and cholesterol has created a lack of knowledge for health practitioners to understand the damage done due to eliminated nutrition of fats, oils and cholesterol in the diet. The intent of this educational activity is to understand that animal fats are not villains and they protect against dysfunction and inflammation. Animal fats also provide crucial fat soluble factors of vitamins A, D, and K2 for the human brain, as well as choline, which are involved in the process of brain cells making connections.

 

Description

This educational activity seeks to improve practitioner’s ability to recognize and manage the observational signs and physiological symptoms of the degeneration and regeneration of the body due to essential fatty acid deficiencies and fat soluble vitamin deficiencies.

In order to obtain the 4.75 contact hours for educational activity (ANCC, PACE, ACCAOM), the learners must complete the following:

  • Learner may be a licensed MD, ND, NP, L.Ac, DC, DDS, RN, RD, DO, PA-C, BSN, etc or have an advanced graduate degree in a related nutrition topic (exceptions accepted)
  • Complete 4.75 contact hours of required course material, lecture calls and slides, and post exam
  • Exam must be passed with at least an 85% grade point.
  • Complete summative evaluation following completion of activity
  • This activity must be completed within 6 months of signing the enrollment form for this activity. If this educational activity is not completed within 6 months of signing the enrollment form, a $100 reactivation fee will be required to further access this education activity in the learning portal.
